Pottery Class

Regular pottery class for people living locally, suitable for complete beginners or those with some experience. All the basic handbuilding skills are covered, and there are three electric wheels for throwing. If you would like to simply paint ready made bisque ware, you can do that too. The classes are small and friendly, with no more than eight in a class, but we need a minimum of five. Fees include tutoring and use of the facilities, but work is paid for when it is finished, by weight. You can join at any time, and you will need to pay for 5 classes in advance, whether you come to all of them or not. Visitors staying on site are welcome to join the class if there is space. You will only pay for one session, which will include materials and firing, but not postage if I need to post your work on to you after you leave.

Make your own highly original greetings cards using different techniques - stamps, stickers, loads of bits and pieces, coloured cards and papers. You can come for just one session or both. Making beads from polymer clay

Learn how to make beads from polymer clay (fimo. Use clay in glowing colours to make marbled and millefiori beads, as well as novelty earrings and brooches etc. They can be baked in a domestic oven and then used for your own unique jewellery. Includes all materials and tea and biscuits.

Paint your own pottery

Paint your own piece of ready made bisque ware (plates, bowls, mugs, vases etc) and have it glazed and fired ready for collection a few days later. Mor pieces are available to buy (£2.50 - £3.50) Suitable for adults or families (children must be accompanied by a responsible adult)
